Portbale PDSeeker - PMF
Handheld Multimode Mixing Cable Local
Discharge Detection System
Handheld Multi-mode Mixing Detection
Due to the different spectrum characteristics and transmission modes of local discharge with different insulating
media, different discharge types and different transmission
paths, sensors of different modes (AE,HFCT,TEV,UHF) should be adopted in field local discharge test to obtain the best signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). However, because the field
test of local discharge is complex and unknown,Therefore,
the application selection of sensors with different modes
is a challenge in field emission testing.Handheld multi-mode mixing test of PDSeeker can collect current signal,
voltage signal, electro magnetic wave etc.of local release
at the same time, covering different frequency bands and modes of local release, which is a good solution to meet
the challenges of on-site local release test.
Cable Discharge Detection Pain Point
Power cables especially distribution network cables, often cannot be installed with high-frequency CT,so it is diffi cult to carry out live detection of local discharge
The handheld contactless integrated design of PDSeeker does not require external sensors and mobile
terminals, and is not restricted by field conditions. It is very convenient for the local release detection of power cables, especially distribution network cables, and can be widely used in different electrical equipment such as high-voltage cables, transformers and switch-gear.
It is not convenient to obtain the power frequency synhronization signal in the field office discharge test of cable,so it isnecessary to install an external synchronization device.
Cable discharge Detection Pain Point
Adaptive synchronization of PDSeeker automatically extracts synchronization signals from measured signals, so that no external synchronization devices need to be installed on site, which is
greatly convenient for field testing, and effectively solves the
major problems such as the difficulty of synchronizing in no-load line.
Due to the serious leakage of cable field discharge test, break down accidents often occurr after theartial discharge detection is normal.
PD Seeker multi-mode mixing test, while collecting local discharge current signal, voltage signal, electro magnetic wave, etc.to avoid partial discharge leakage test,so that the accident of partial discharge field test
approaching inevitability. The field partial discharge test of cable has great noise influence, and discharge identification is difficult.
Automatic noise separation and classification, discharge identification and discharge alarm of PD Seeker make the general test of cable partial discharge live detection easy and accurate.

The full frequency band covers the spectrum range of partial discharge generated by power cable. To solve the attenuation problem caused by different transmission paths and modes of partial discharge signals, the complete pulse waveform is captured for signal separation and classification, and
discharge identification and location.
Separation and Classification Technique
Because the interference of PD detection is large and many ,how to eliminate the noise interference becomes the key problem of PD detection.Signal separation and classification technology is a new path for noise processing, which is mainly based on thecharacteristic quantity extracted from the discharge pulse waveform for separation and cluster analysis.Because different types of discharge signals show different clustering
on the TF spectrum the separation and classification of different t dischare signals are realized, so as to avoid the problems of local release error and detection caused by the traditional windowing technology of noise processing.
PD Seeker-PMF
applies the automatic separation and classification technology,
without manual operation,the software
automatically completes the separation and classification of the collected signals.
